For most of us, time can quickly be used up on the day to day activities of working life. Even if you are working a 9-5 job it can sometimes be difficult to fit in time for self-development, socialising, and particularly exercise.

Pilates is a form of exercise that can greatly benefit people of all fitness levels. If you decide to incorporate the exercise into your routine you could see benefits in your posture, mental health and overall level of fitness. This article will show you how to fit Pilates into your daily routine, even if you think it’s pretty packed already!

Make it part of your morning routine

Your morning routine may consist of getting, up, showering, eating breakfast, and going to work. Whilst this is a very popular routine, it is not the most productive one. If you take time to do 10-20 minutes of Pilates, you will be surprised by the amount of practice you can get in before your day has (officially) started.

Find time to practice low-intensity Pilates moves during your lunch break

If you are not a morning person, don’t worry, Pilates is very adaptable and can be practised in many different environments. Whether you have an hour or half-hour for lunch, our blog on low impact Pilates moves has got you covered with moves that will benefit your health without making you work up too much of a sweat.

Try and find a space where you are not going to disturb your work colleagues. Your desk/office could be a good option if there is enough room to perform the Pilates movements.

Join an exercise class for pilates

Another top tip on making Pilates a regular staple in your routine is to try and join some kind of Pilates class. This will help you meet new people with similar interests and get you some expert tutorage on the exercise you are performing.
